The Nature and Quality of Management and Leadership in the Professions: A Qualitative Study

There are some four hundred professions in the UK with over a thousand members. This report repsents the results of a study of eighteen of them drawn from a wide range of sectors. It spans those professionals who practice in partnerships (such as lawyers, surveyors, architects), through to those who work in teh employ of large industries (such as chemical engineers, bankers, personnel managers), through to those who work in the employ of government or public services (such as doctors, nurses, probation officers).
